Notice

  • When using capacitors for resonance applications, the points of "self-heating" and "allowable voltage curve" are important.
  • Capacitors used in high-power applications show a rise in self-heating after initial heating immediately after voltage is applied.
Although self-heating is inevitable in high-power applications, voltage and frequency conditions that exceed the maximum operating temperature of 125°C within the target lifetime (e.g., 10 years) should be avoided (see Figure 1). In particular, the limit on the AC voltage V(p-p) that can be applied increases in the high-frequency range. In 萝莉影视's resonant capacitors, the allowable voltage is a voltage whose target life is the time it takes for the surface temperature of the capacitor to reach the maximum operating temperature of 125°C. Therefore, when selecting a capacitor, the used voltage V(p-p) should be within the allowable voltage.
