Inductors FAQ Q There are direction distinguishing marks on the outside of RF inductors, such as the LQG series and LQP series. I would like to know the reason why there are direction distinguishing marks on the inductors.
In addition, are there any basic placement rules when mounting these components?

A

Slight differences in the inductor characteristics may affect the RF performance in RF circuits mainly using LQG and LQP. Inductors do not have polarity. However, their structure is not completely symmetrical. Therefore, differences arise in the characteristics due to the mounting direction. Accordingly, we give markings to ensure that these components are mounted in a unified direction. We do not have a component direction we recommend. Therefore, please consider the component placement upon confirming the difference in impact depending on the inductor direction.
